Alone

When I walk alone, I think of you my love
When I walk alone, I walk with broken heart
When I walk alone, I walk with sadness
When I walk alone, I walk with my silent tears
When I walk alone, I walk with my sorrow
When I walk alone, I walk with my sad memories
When I walk alone, I walk with my shattered dream
When I walk alone, I walk with my hands lifeless
Love never walks alone but you made me walk alone
You promised me that you will walk with me forever
but you made me walk alone with my tears forever
When the heaven stolen you from me yesterday
All your promises are gone with the wind
Today, You made me walk alone with out you my love
and I promise you, I will walk alone till my journey ends

A Gadget Lover's New Year's Resolutions

By Rob Beschizza Email

In the effervescent spirit of the first dawn of 2007, Gear Factor presents its New Year's Resolutions for gadget addicts. Always remember: the corrolary of "don't think about it, just do it," is "do what I say, not what I do."

• I will not spend more than $100 on a phone.
• I will never again be fooled by rebates.
• I will stream video wirelessly from my home media server to my television this year!
• I will wait for the IEEE to officially certify 802.11n as a standard before plunking down any more cash on 802.11n devices.
• I will build my own PC with (list of dream components)...
• I will build my own PC with (junk already present in closet) and donate it to charity.
• I will stop putting used CRT monitors on the side of the road and start using the manufacturer's free disposal service.
• I will not buy an iPod.
• I will change my password from "password" to a random 13 character string including at least one number and one symbol.
• I will read Gear Factor everyday.

EXTRA! Wired News Blogs supremo Joel Johnson submits further imperatives by which you are now bound.

• I will stop having to push buttons to sync my data between my phone, web, and PC.
• I will keep all my data on RAID.
• I will try to find a movie download service as comprehensive and easy as Bit Torrent.
• I will ask Logitech why any keyboard would ever need to reboot itself.
• I will develop a method for automagically beaming my DSLR images to Flickr.
• I will purchase a phone that also doubles as an EV-DO mo
dem instead of having two devices.

Words of Advice from Bill Gates

Life is wonderful, but it is also challenging at times. The following advice comes from one of the most successful businessman in history, Bill Gates. He recently told a group of high schoolers about 11 things they did not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a full generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world. I want all of you to be very successful, so consider some of his words:

Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it.

Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3: You will NOT make 40 thousand dollars a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone, until you earn both.

Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss. He doesn't have tenure.

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping; they called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you are. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parents' generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers but life has not. In some schools they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as many times as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you find yourself. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

--There may be virtual reality, but there is no such thing as virtual happiness--

Communication

For 27 years I’ve been trying to believe and confide in
Different people I’ve found.
Some of them got closer than others
And someone wouldn’t even bother and then you came around

I didn’t really know what to call you, you didn’t know me at all
But I was happy to explain.
I never really knew how to move you
So I tried to intrude through the little holes in your veins
And I saw you
But that’s not an invitation
That’s all I get
If this is communication
I disconnect
I’ve seen you, I know you
But I don’t know
How to connect, so I disconnect

You always seem to know where to find me and I’m still here behind you
In the corner of your eye.
I’ll never really learn how to love you
But I know that I love you through the hole in the sky.

Where I see you
And that’s not an invitation
That’s all I get
If this is communication
I disconnect
I’ve seen you, I know you
But I don’t know
How to connect, so I disconnect

Well this is an invitation
It’s not a threat
If you want communication
That’s what you get
I’m talking and talking
But I don’t know
How to connect
And I hold a record for being patient
With your kind of hesitation
I need you, you want me
But I don’t know
How to connect, so I disconnect
I disconnect.

PART THREE: Love

XV

’T WAS a long parting, but the time

For interview had come;

Before the judgment-seat of God,

The last and second time

These fleshless lovers met,

A heaven in a gaze,

A heaven of heavens, the privilege

Of one another’s eyes.

No lifetime set on them,

Apparelled as the new

Unborn, except they had beheld,

Born everlasting now.

Was bridal e’er like this?

A paradise, the host,

And cherubim and seraphim

The most familiar guest.

XXII
I GAVE myself to him,

And took himself for pay.

The solemn contract of a life

Was ratified this way.

The wealth might disappoint,

Myself a poorer prove

Than this great purchaser suspect,

The daily own of Love

Depreciate the vision;

But, till the merchant buy,

Still fable, in the isles of spice,

The subtle cargoes lie.

At least, ’t is mutual risk,—

Some found it mutual gain;

Sweet debt of Life,—each night to owe,

Insolvent, every noon.

XXXIV
WHAT if I say I shall not wait?

What if I burst the fleshly gate

And pass, escaped, to thee?

What if I file this mortal off,

See where it hurt me,—that ’s enough,—

And wade in liberty?

They cannot take us any more,—

Dungeons may call, and guns implore;

Unmeaning now, to me,

As laughter was an hour ago,

Or laces, or a travelling show,

Or who died yesterday!

XXXV
PROUD of my broken heart since thou didst break it,

Proud of the pain I did not feel till thee,

Proud of my night since thou with moons dost slake it,

Not to partake thy passion, my humility.

XXXVII

LOVE is anterior to life,

Posterior to death,

Initial of creation, and

The exponent of breath.

XLVII

HEART, we will forget him!

You and I, to-night!

You may forget the warmth he gave,

 I will forget the light.

When you have done, pray tell me,

That I my thoughts may dim;

Haste! lest while you’re lagging,

I may remember him!

L

NOT with a club the heart is broken,

Nor with a stone;

A whip, so small you could not see it,

I ’ve known

To lash the magic creature

Till it fell,

Yet that whip’s name too noble

Then to tell.

Magnanimous of bird

By boy descried,

To sing unto the stone

Of which it died.

LI

MY friend must be a bird,

Because it flies!

Mortal my friend must be,

Because it dies!

Barbs has it, like a bee.

Ah, curious friend,

Thou puzzlest me!

LII

HE touched me, so I live to know

That such a day, permitted so,

I groped upon his breast.

It was a boundless place to me,

And silenced, as the awful sea

Puts minor streams to rest.

And now, I ’m different from before,

As if I breathed superior air,

Or brushed a royal gown;

My feet, too, that had wandered so,

My gypsy face transfigured now

To tenderer renown.

Left and Right Hand

Your left hand sees red and thinks roses...
Your right hand sees red and thinks wine.
Your left hand believes in shining armor...
Your right hand hand thinks knights are for fairy tales
Your left hand says, "I love you." ...
Your right hand says, "I love me, too."

Women of the world, raise your right hand...

"No me llamaste. Yo no pienso llamarte. También te lo prometo."..... Pero estoy absolutamente convencida de que esta vez no seré yo quien descuelgue el teléfono para llamarle. Y lo siento. Precisamente porque ya no soy una adolescente, sé donde hay que poner un punto final. Otra cosa es que lo haga...

Hay situaciones muy similares, no importa en que lugar del mundo sucedan, la edad, el clima... nada importa.

Sobre la autora:

"Tal vez cumplir 49 años me haya animado a sentarme y mirarme a mí misma. Y a mirarle a él, casi trece años más joven que yo. Las historias que cuento son mis historias. En ellas ya no hay sed ni deseo. Ni siquiera queda amor. Sólo hay obsesión..."

Misguided by the shadow... Disguised by the light

So close… and yet so far… In my brain there is a reunion and the stamp in the proform says FORBIDDEN...

... He is the one I dream of... the one I invented in my head... the one that I made up in my bed thinking I could probably find him while being awake... he only exists in my dreams in my thoughts, in my naked soul, in my silly eyes… will I find him? will I get to know him? will I ever get to tell him that he was the one I was expecting my whole life?

Dozens of them I've met, but yet none is like him. I thought I met once one… thought it was him, but then misguided… They use his disguised, they wear his mask, they pretend to be the one but yet there is no match... the match that will light up the flame, flame that will provide the light, light that will give me a chance to be disguised...

...sometimes all you need is ONE

At this moment, there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world.

Some are running scared. Some are coming home.
Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just now facing the truth.
Some are evil men, at war with good. Some are good, struggling with evil.

6 billion people in the world, 6 billion souls...
and sometimes all you need is one.

Save Room

Say That You'll Stay A Little
Don't Say Bye Bye Tonight
Say You'll Be Mine Just A Little Bit Of Love
Is Worth A Moment Of Your Time

Knocking On Your Door Just A Little
So Cold Outside Tonight
Lets Get A Fire Burning
Oh I Know I'll Keep It Burning Bright If You Stay
Won't You Stay
Stay

Save Room For My Love
Save Room For The Moment To Be With Me
Save Room For My Love
Save A Little Save A Little For Me
Won't You Save A Little
Save A Little For Me Ohhh

This Just Might Hurt A Little
Love Hurts Sometimes When You Do It Right
Dont Be Afraid Of A Little Bit Of Pain
Pleasure Is On The Other Side
Let Down Your Guard Just A Little
I'll Keep You Safe In These Arms Of Mine
Hold On To Me Pretty Baby You Will See
I Can Be All You Need If You Stay
Won't You Stay
Stay

Save Room For My Love
Save Room For The Moment To Be With Me
Save Room For My Love
Save A Little Save A Little For Me
Won't You Save A Little
Save A Little For Me Ohhh

Bah Da Ba Baaa
Da Da Daaa

Ohhh Come On
Make Time To Live A Little
Don't Let This Moment Slip By Tonight

Youll Never Know What Your Missing 'Til You Try
I'll Keep You Satisfied If You Stay
Won't You Stay
Stay

Save Room For My Love
Save Room For The Moment To Be With Me
Save Room For My Love
Save A Little Save A Little For Me
Won't You Save A Little
Save A Little For Me Ohhh

Vuelos

Vos me estás mirando y yo voy a caer,
colgado en tu sién.
Vos me estás mirando y yo voy a caer.
No me ves pero ahí voy
a buscar tu prisión
de llaves que sólo cierran...
No ves pero ahí voy a encontrar tu prisión.
Y la bruma rebota siempre hacia aquí.
Espuma de miedo,
viejo apagón,
y la bruma rebota, siempre hacia aquí.

Solo voy a volver,
siempre me vas a ver
y cuando regrese
de este vuelo eterno.
Solo verás en mí,
siempre a través
de mí un paisaje de espanto así.

Y el nylon abrió
sus alas por mí...
y ahora ve solo viento.
Y el nylon abrió
su alas en mi.
Tu cara se borra,
se tiñe de gris,
serás una piedra sola...
Te desprendes de mí,
yo me quedo en vos...
Ya mis ojos son barro
en la inundación
que crece, decrece,
aparece y se va
y mis ojos son barro
en la inundación
